H1N1 Influenza A Virus Response

HDMA Member Contact Information for State Pandemic Influenza Planning

HDMA’s primary, full-service healthcare distributors continue to be critical participants in the U.S. healthcare supply channel delivering antiviral and other medical products necessary to support any national response to any pandemic emergencies. Our members were engaged and responded to the 2009 H1N1 Pandemic public health situation as they have in the past during natural disasters and other public health emergencies.

HDMA distributor members continue to work with manufacturers and providers, as well as federal, state, and local public health officials, to ensure that medical products and supplies are available and accessible to meet provider demand. HDMA is a partner in Rx Response (www.rxresponse.org) , a public/private supply chain alliance and is actively sharing information and coordinating response with supply chain partners and public health officials.

Stay Connected!

In order to enhance communication for members in emergency response preparedness, we are adding a data field in our member database for the names of distributor member representatives listed as authorized contacts for emergency planning. If you have not already done so, please let us know who will be responsible for this role (up to two contacts) within your organization:

Business continuity/ Emergency management/ Crisis owner (will also be the liaison for Rx Response)
